Daughter of a Heavenly King

October 9, 2011

It's been hard to concentrate.  My mind has been on mom.... oh, how I miss her!  I have had sleepless nights and outbursts of crying.  Sometimes my heart hurts so bad I wonder how I can go on.  It's like a piece of my heart went with mom.  As bad as it hurts, I am thankful for the plan of salvation.  I know I will see my mother again.  Her body whole, no more crippled feet, no more pain.  I can't wait to see her, hug her, and tell her how much I've loved and missed her.

My siblings and I have been busy with funeral arrangements and house matters over the last few days.  Just going through the motions at times, it seems.

Morgann turned 12 years old today.  She starts Young Women's.  I bought her a sign to hang in her room "Princess, daughter of a Heavenly King", along with a journal.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEET HEART!

Midge & Francine

August 28, 2011

I'm missing mom!  One of the things that I love about her is how she thinks of each grandchild and the relationship she has with them individually.  Mom and dad watched Morgann and Carson on dance days. Morgann loved the barbies, especially the old ones tucked away in grandma's cedar chest.  She asked grandma if she could play with them.... and grandma said "not just yet; when you get a little older.  They are special and need special taking care of." One day at the Nursing Home, mom asked me to get in her cedar chest and give Midge and Francine to Morgann.   They were my dolls when I was a young girl.... so that makes the giving doubly special!

All Stars #6

Friday, July 8, 2011

As far as I'm concerned, #6 on the All Stars is the Star!  Morgann and her teammates, from Carbon, played some serious ball against Ogden, Bountiful, and Woods Cross.  Morgann did an awesome job at pitching!  She also played short stop, second base, and outfield.  She was able to hit the ball outfield against a strong pitcher.  Good job Morgann!  You'll always be my star!

Morgann - before the game, pitching, on base, love that smile!
