Mom had quite the fall last night and broke her right leg. She was transported to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center for surgery. I met Kelley at the hospital this morning. Mom was quite the HAM today while patiently waiting surgery.
Her nurse, named Dave, came in to prep her for surgery and she proceeded to tell him a story. She broke out in hives one day, both on the outside of her body and inside of her mouth and throat. She decided to diagnose herself by taking away one medication at time until she could pin point the culprit. When she went to the doctor, she told him what medication was giving her hives and how she came to that conclusion. Mom told Dave the doctor said she was "brilliant!". It was so funny how she told the story and her expression was hilarious!
Mom twisted her oxygen tube into knots while waiting for surgery. Nervous! Kelley gave her a soft bottle to squeeze so she wouldn't cut her life line off.
I love my mother and hope all goes well during surgery. It's a worry.... her health is not well.
