Saying farewell to the Brigham City 2nd Ward today was not easy. We have been here for 16 years (minus my run-aways to Price). I have come to love the people in my ward. When Dave asked me this morning if I were sad about leaving, of course I said yes. That triggered a rain shower from my eyes and the rest of the day was history. I cried off and on throughout the day. I know I am only a few miles away, but when you change wards and stakes, it's like being a million miles away. I hugged a lot of people today!
Change is not always easy. It starts a new chapter in your life. It can be challenging, adventurous, fun, exciting, intimidating, even frightening. Next week we will go to a new ward in a new town. We'll see where the next 16 years takes us!

that's the nice thing about the gospel--it's true no matter where you are.
