Day 80 - Alaska

I went to Kelsey's after church today. After dinner we had her traditional German Chocolate cake with ice cream. I gave her a dvd of our trip to Alaska in the summer of 1992 with mom and dad. It was so much fun to watch and re-live the great adventures of Alaska!

Day 70 - Barcelona, Spain.... my cruise will come!

Right now we're suppose to be enjoying ourselves on a Norwegian Cruise.... starting from Barcelona, Spain and traveling the Mediterranean Sea to Italy, Greece, Turkey, Egypt, and Malta. Army commitments for the Col and new house construction made us postpone our trip this spring. So... for now, I'll just dream about it!

I went back to our Europe pictures from the trip we took in Oct 2008, and pulled out this picture of Cinque Terra, Italy. We cruised the Mediterranean Sea for a short distance while there, hoping from village to village. The scenery was spectacular! My Cruise will come!

Day 46 - Happy Birthday George Washington!

George Washington's Mount Vernon in Virginia is one of my favorite places to visit. I love his passion in living a simple and honest life. I love that he was self reliant. I am in awe every time I visit Mt. Vernon and see the beautiful gardens and orchards he raised. He was happiest as a farmer.... and I can relate! As a Revolutionary War General, George Washington has always been a hero in my eyes. It was no coincidence that he was our country's Founding Father and first President. Passion for freedom and commitment to pursue them has made it possible for me to enjoy the things I do today!
