George Washington's Mount Vernon in Virginia is one of my favorite places to visit. I love his passion in living a simple and honest life. I love that he was self reliant. I am in awe every time I visit Mt. Vernon and see the beautiful gardens and orchards he raised. He was happiest as a farmer.... and I can relate! As a Revolutionary War General, George Washington has always been a hero in my eyes. It was no coincidence that he was our country's Founding Father and first President. Passion for freedom and commitment to pursue them has made it possible for me to enjoy the things I do today!

I haven't been there yet, but my daughter went with her 8th grade trip and came back with some great pictures.
Wow!!..goegeous. I'm embarrassed: I live like, 8 miles away. Never been (yet!)
