Our new flag pole stands 40 feet in the air. You can see the large flag waving in the wind from the highway. I love the soft glow of the light on it at night.

Entry Table
October 22, 2011
Dave was gone to Las Vegas doing Army stuff, so I took Audrey with me to the last Farmer's Market in Salt Lake. Audrey used her money to put down on a dinning room set, and I used the money I made to buy a beautiful entry table. I got it at Rod Works at 25% off. It was a great way to end the market!

House Beautiful!
August 23, 2011
I came home from Price to see the landscaping completely finished. The new yard complements my beautiful house!
Mom had another neurological incident today, although not as bad as the one a couple of weeks ago.

New House for the Mecham Family
Tuesday, July 26, 2011
Audrey's new house in Tremonton. It's very nice inside. It looks new, it smells new, it's cool (air condition), and it has room for the whole family. Alia and Ben have their own rooms, too! Last night Dave and I took some pizza and ice cream out and visited the kids and had a tour of their new home.

Making of a Fire Pit
Friday, July 15, 2011
The landscapers worked on the fire pit today. They are placing large flat rock, for seating, around the perimeter. Capstones will be placed on top of them. Flagstone will make up the floor, and we have yet to determine what and how the actual fire pit will look. Decisions, decisions!

Dirty!
Wednesday, June 29, 2011
We have had all the windows open for the last week. It has felt good to have the breeze blow through the entire house. But over the last few days, the temperature has climbed and the wind has blown harder. The air has been dirty. The dirt blew in, covering everything... window sills, furniture, books, etc.
So, today, I got out the cleaning supplies and rags and cleaned that dirt away! It sure feels good to have the house feel clean again!

Lifting the Rail
The decks are finally done! It took 5 guys to lift the rail back up to the second level Master balcony. Baseboard in the basement bathroom got replaced today, too. The new house is a never ending build and fix. I can't wait until it's all finally done.

Caution
Tuesday, June 21, 2011
We came home to our deck being re-surfaced. The caution tape lets us know NOT to go out on the deck. We found out that the last sub did not put any waterproofing down on the deck. It's no wonder that we had all those water issues!

Cleaning the House
Today I thoroughly cleaned my house... three levels of it. I took me 3 hours to clean both kitchens, all the bathrooms, floors, and do the dusting.
It takes all kinds of apparatuses to clean the house. I found this really neat green swiffer duster that's great for dusting over the doors and along the windowsills. The multi-colored duster is perfect for dusting the staircase. They both have extensions on them so it makes it easy to clean those hard to reach places.
And I really love my wet/dry vac system. I just pick up my light weight vac and hose and carry it to any place in the house, plug it in the wall, and away I go! It is Awesome. I love cleaning my house!

Day 190 - Obstacle Course

Day 170 - a peek inside
Day 169 - threading pipe

Day 155 - cement trough
Day 146 - Dreaming
May 26
I like to walk through my new house often. Sometimes I have to pinch myself to make sure I'm not just dreaming. Today I am dreaming about my bedroom and sitting room and how enjoyable it will be to sit in front of the fireplace (or soak in the tub in front of the fireplace!) Or... how fun it will be to walk out on our own deck and see the orchard (or my farmin' man) below. Can't wait!
Day 144 - Help!!
May 24
I started to doubt my ability to pull together color, flooring, countertops, etc. for our enormous house. Four levels is a little intimidating! I called for help.... $50.00 an hour was well worth the cost of having this Interior Designer put confidence back into my choices. She guided me a little but assured me that I had made great choices and was definetly on the right track in designing our home.... my way. Two days and I was back in my own saddle! Thanks Anna!
