The monsoon usually does not make it as far north as we live, but this time it did. I woke to thunderous, beating rain. It came down in sheets. It carved out new trenches in our orchard, flooded the barn, and made huge puddles of water that stayed around for an unusually long amount of time. The weather report said it rained 2 1/2 inches in less than an hour's time. We spent a couple of days wading in a river of water everywhere we went. But, I loved it! That is one thing I miss about living in Carbon County..... the monsoon rain in August.

wow--you guys got pounded. We did a lot of wading in our driveway this summer. It seems like the storms have been extra wet. I wonder what winter will bring?
