March

March 1 - Makaela's Birthday

Well... kind of. It's really on leap year... the 29th of February. Kelsey invited us out for dinner and cake tonight. Makaela is growing up! She is 15 years old this year and will start driving.

I also used my Kitchen Aid (Christmas present from Dave) today. Fun! I love the red color.

March 3 - Snow

We woke up to snow. Did we ever need it! We need much more of this white stuff!

James turned 9 weeks old today. He is in his swing watching the animals on the mobile go round and round. I love his expression. He's such a cutie!

March 5 - Footprints in the snow

The snow has not melted off the back deck. I went out to watch Dave in the orchard and left these footprints in the snow. My... I stand crooked!

March 7 - jack rabbit

A jack rabbit has made our orchard home. Today I saw him running around.

March 9 - Petal dresses

Audrey saw a cute little girl's petal dress on the internet and decided to make Alia and Emilee one for Easter. We took the girls shopping and Alia picked out her own colors for the petals. Orange, blue, yellow and green. Emmy's is bright pink and green. We went home, took measurements on the girls, and cut the petals out. Can't wait to see the dresses finished! They are going to be so cute and colorful.

Ben had camera duty.

And James was just being his cute little self.

March 10 - Heating pad

For my aching back! I woke up this morning and couldn't walk. I made an appointment with the doctor and he said it was back spasms... most definitely due from the accident. He prescribed me some muscle relaxers and made out some prescriptions for massage therapy at Structura and another one for physical therapy. I bought me a heating pad on the way home and went straight to bed. The muscle relaxers and heating pad made a world of difference.

March 11- James is 10 weeks old

He is becoming more animated and engaged with those he has come to trust and love. Like mommy, daddy, sisters, and brother... and grandma! I love him!

March 13 - Yellow daffodils

I went to Audrey's today. Her daffodils were out in full bloom. So pretty and sunshiny!

James was sleeping in his swing. Audrey said he must be going through a growth spurt. He's been a little sleepy the last few days.

March 14 - Apricot blossoms

A close up picture of the apricot blossom... from bud to full bloom. Awesome!

Dad's Christmas cactus is still blooming. Crazy! It has never bloomed this long. It's in its 4th month of blooming. It must be very happy here. That makes me happy!

March 17 - St. Patty's Day

There's no pinching Alia!

This year's treat bags for the kiddos was all about the green. Lemon lime soda and green barber shop straws. Mint patties, M and M's, green frogs, green jello, and gold Rolos. I look forward to the holidays as much as the kids do!

March 18 - Cinderella

Audrey, the kiddos, and I went to Cinderella today. I never tire of seeing a new version of the story. The new movie was spell-binding and enchanting.

James is 11 weeks old today.

March 20 - First day of Spring

Today was beautiful! The sun was out, the skies were brilliant blue, and the plum trees were in full bloom. It was a lovely first day of Spring.

And... Friday Night Pizza!

Audrey and Mike came up tonight and brought pizza. The kids each got their own pizza kits. The best idea ever! Look at those little chefs go!

March 23 - Orchard

Here's a full view of the orchard. It's pretty in the Spring with fresh tilled dirt and blossoms on the trees.

March 26 - Ben and Emilee

Ben and Emilee spent the day with me. Emmy played with Audrey's doll. And we watched movies. Fun day!

March 28 - Peach blossoms

I've been out in the orchard a lot this Spring taking pictures. I need a really good Spring picture to add to my seasons wall. I should find something.

March 30 - Tulip bulbs

...what's wrong with the picture? Yesterday we had a couple of beautiful red tulips that had just bloomed. I came out this morning to get a picture of them and the deer beat me to it! It never fails... the deer rob us of our beautiful tulips ever single Spring. We're going to have to do something about this! I want to put a stop to this once and for all!

Such cute grandkids. My peach tree has been blooming so beautiful. I hate to see the blossoms go away.

good times! I loved holding that little baby James. What a cutie. I can't wait to see those petal dresses either. We went to Cinderella when we were in St. George. It was cute. I've got to get busy in my journal. I've only made one entry since the new year and that was when Ezri was born. I'm a little overwhelmed. I'm taking a bloggy break for the summer months but I'll still post Quotography. I enjoy that and can work on it over the weekend.
