I haven't been camping for ages! So when we knew we were going to Fillmore to Morgann's and Hailie's Gymnastic Meet, we decided to make a weekend camping trip of it. We stayed in the KOA campground. It was soooo fun! I stayed with Shaniel and the kids in a two room cabin. The front room consisted of a double bed, fridge, table and chair, and a heater/air conditioner. The back room had two sets of bunk beds and a table. It was perfect! Scott stayed in a nearby motel at night. Audrey's family stayed in one room cabin right behind us. Misty and kids ate lunch with us on Saturday and went back home.
The campground owners were so nice and accommodating. They brought us games, had crafts for the kids, had a hot dog cook out with ice cream in the back yard of the main cabin, and gave prizes from the gift shop to the kids. They said they don't get many kids there and were so excited to have us. This was my first experience with KOA campgrounds and definitely worth going back to!
