Tracking spending

Part of getting organized this year is to track my spending and get my Reserve line paid once and for all! I ordered my planning calendar from Farmer's Almanac this year. They sent me an Almanac and wall calendar, too. I'm putting them to good use! I keep my receits for each day, record them in my planning calendar, and total my spending on a weekly and monthly basis. I'm using cash for gas, groceries, eating out, birthdays, misc., etc. Bill Pay is used for all my utility bills. Checks are used for all other items. January was a little rough. It will take me some time to get an effective system going, but this is a start and I'm excited!
