Day 58 - Happy trees....

feb 27
need a healthy dose of fertilizer every year in February. They grow better, are healthier, and produce excellent fruit. We gathered our buckets, paid our local Co-op a visit, mixed up a notion of excellent fertilizer and spent the day making our fruit trees (berries, and grapes, too) happy!

Do you also use the same fertilizer on your vegetable garden?

No.... it's totally different. We till in old fashioned cow manure for our garden. It's the best thing. I am sure there is a farmer near by that would come and dump some on your garden spot.

Will you still get your pictures in now that farming is starting?

I love the way that these buckets look! But it looks like your camera is still a little foggy. Sad :(
We bought a tree last year, does the fertilizer rule apply to all trees, or just fruit?

Heidi, we put it on all our fruit trees, but we concentrate on our peach trees the most. I don't believe we have ever used the fertilizer on regular trees. I will ask Dave for sure on this one.

Kelly, I still plan on posting my pictures. It may be sparatic at times, but I love the idea that I will have a year's journal written with pictures at the end of the year. I am thorougly enjoying this!
